The core of the Yacht10 is its 10mm dynamic driver, meticulously developed through extensive research and testing of diaphragm materials, coils, magnetic cores, and damping. The magnesium-aluminum composite dome diaphragm offers a perfect balance of lightweight rigidity, improving transduction efficiency and tonal accuracy.
Measured across the full frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz, the driver achieves a remarkably low total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) of less than 0.4%, with even lower distortion at key frequencies (0.045% at 500Hz and 0.098% at 1kHz). This ensures crystal-clear sound with faithful detail reproduction and minimal coloration.
The driver uses a high-performance H.CCAW copper-coated aluminum coil with a magnetic flux density of 1.2 Tesla, providing powerful and precise diaphragm control. The polymer diaphragm suspension reduces unwanted resonance, delivering a natural and dynamic sound signature.
L.S.W. Acoustic Chamber & Airflow Optimization
HiBy redesigned the internal acoustic structure to include a Low Standing Wave (L.S.W.) metal rear chamber that acts as a reflection chamber to enhance dynamic response. The carefully tuned airflow and venting system improve driver movement and reduce internal pressure build-up, resulting in a wider soundstage and more open, immersive listening experience.
