JVC EP-FX10 Spiral Dot series, the Spiral Dot ++ continues to employ the company’s unique “spiral dot”, in which dots are arranged in a spiral on the inner wall of the ear tip.

By diffusing the reflected sound in the ear tip and optimising the balance with the direct sound while suppressing the noise and realises a clear sound.

The company also adopted the “SMP iFit” material from SMP Technologies previously used on Spiral Dot +. SMP iFit has Dynamic tan δ (vibration absorbing property) similar to that of the human skin; when used in a part that touches the human skin, it can realise natural comfort. Among the variations of SMP iFit, the company selected a grade with a smooth touch and finished it with a hybrid structure combining high-quality silicon to reduce shift and dropout due to the characteristics of the material. Moreover, in order to fuse different materials while taking advantage of the two material properties, the joint has a unique wave shape.
